Comcast cable - yea or nay?

Net cost to me would be $10/mo more than I'm paying now. I'd have twice the download speed (3M vs 1.5M) but they seemed fuzzy on upload speeds. (My u/l speed is 768k and works very nicely)

Would you upgrade?

And political concerns as well?

1. yeah, lots of political concerns

I have them and loathe them. I write them letters about political issues at least two-three times a year when they repress freedom of speech.

I've YET to hear back from them.

I have reliable,fast service. I just wish I could like them but I can't.

2. I've been a subscriber for a long time

I don't know how many years, and it's been a dream.

I don't really get into the corporate political thing. I just get great service, great tech support, and I don't have to think about it, at home or at any of the offices, so I'm hapy, and I'd say, yeah, go with them.

3. I have them, they suck for a million political reasons...

including the fact that they don't allow Democracy NOw! on their 'public access' channels which sucks.

But the service is dependable and all that is available, really.

Better than DirectTV or Dish. Not sure of their political standings but i think all media companies are pretty bad, so on the basis of their service and billing theyre not bad

I've had Comcast for about two years now, the service Is very reliable.

The download speed Is good, but the up-load speed sucks

You get eight e-mail accounts with about 25 MB of web space each.

A: Yes, everyone will get it. Some will get it sooner then others based on a roll-out schedule.

A: The upgrades will begin in early 2005. There are a few test areas that already have the upgrade.

A: Knoxville TN, Naples, FL and Washington D.C areas.
