She read it to my 14 year old niece when she was little. She thinks the copy she has belonged to her husband when he was little. But, she says it was Gold shoes.
I personally haven't read it - but my momma did read me "The Country Mouse and the City Mouse" when I was little.

Great book! I got it when my first was about 4 years old (he's 20 now) and we both loved it. The country bunny of the title wants to grow up to be one of the Easter bunnies (obviously there's too much candy to deliver for it all to be done by one bunny) but all the boy rabbits make fun of her. She marries, and has 21 baby bunnies, and when an opening comes up for an Easter bunny, she applies for the job.
Wonderful, wonderful story.
The best part of having little kids was getting to real all the great kids' books that are out there.
