posting on every single thread tonight? My TVs have been over-taken by a hoard of football bowl fanatics. They're like locusts. All food, even the weird Christmas cookies my neighbor made, has disappeared. And tomorrow morning, my house will look like the aftermath of a frat party. It will end. But not until the Super Bowl. So...grab a good book. Have some ice cream. And come back to DU.

hubby is the 5 time champion at his job. the bettawins. every year. at least it is not as ugly as it used to be. back in the day, he had to check his scores himself, or wait til monday morning. it got ugly. now they have espn do it, and he can watch it online.
thankfully, he is not too into college football. now, college hoops. that's different. ugh.

Thank the gods. Occasionally gets into college hoops, but not that often. In summer, he loves the Cubs but they break his heart too often.

15. it took a long time

he was always a sox fan first. but he never minded the cubs, and used to go to a lot of games, as he had a pal with season tickets.
i was raised in the burbs, the child of one cubs fan and one sox fan. mostly we were cub fans.
after the kids came along, the idea of finding the time to watch and pay attention to a baseball game was just a painful reminder of a former life. especially after 84.
not sure when he started to get so ugly about it. i think mostly when prices started skyrocketing. and when he finally forgave the sox for tearing down comiskey park. that took a while.
so, it is not a lot of skin off my nose that he hates the cubs. except when he gets personal about it.
