Woohoo!!!!!! Can't wait for the Joan and Melissa Show!
Just kidding. But I have never thought Joan Rivers was funny. Any JR fans here? And her daughter looks just like her.

3. She was funny back in the sixties,
but, God, she looks horrible now. Someone ought to tell her that too much Botox kills! She looks like a Kabuki player.

4. That's just a freak show.
Both of them. JR used to be funny...I remember her apprearances on Ed Sullivan and some of the early talk shows...Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin. She was genuinely funny then.

But then...she just turned mean. And fuck, the results of her plastic surgery is just creepy to look at now.

Her daughter is: she's Joan Rivers' daughter. That's pretty much it.

5. Melissa is way more pathetic than Joan, as she would have no reason
to have any fame at all if not for her second rate celeb mom.

If you ever saw the Simpsons where Homer and Ned got drunk and married in Vegas, there's a scene where they're arriving in Vegas, and Joan Rivers tries to stop their car or panhandle or something. As they're driving away, she's clinging to the car door/window and saying "Help me! My daughter's not talented!"

I think about that scene whenever I see the promo commercial for their lameass show.

7. LOL!
That scene was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw this thread.

Well, that scene and thoughts of Mr. Ed. }(

8. I should add, Homer and Ned got drunk and each married a Vegas barfly
chick, they didn't get married to each other. Although that would've made for a pretty cool episode too! :o

9. I'll never forgive her
for her support of Bush the Elder during the VP debates with Ferraro and her crude remarks. She also defended Bernard Goetz after he emptied his gun into some black teenagers after they threatened him on the subway. Now, whether Goetz was just defending himself or used undue force we can debate (he did say, as he stood over one wounded kid, "You don't look so bad. How about another?" before he shot him again. But Rivers' one-sided vehemance on his behalf hardly helped the debate. She also is lazy. She doesn't do her homework. She doesn't know who people are or which movies they've made. At one of those red carpet deals, she didn't know who Julie Christie was....and Christie was nominated for an Oscar. She's also rude to the unknown husbands/wives/girlfriends/boyfriends...practically pushing them aside so she can ask the stars stupid questions.
