Buzzcocks: Overrated, underrated, or respected juuuust right?
Hey, gang.

I bought me a Buzzcocks compilation for cheap today. One of the many bands I didn't get around to listening to in my earlier days. But hell, the CD was $2.88, so I took a chance.

My first impression is that they're a little more creative than their contemporaries, but at other times it's hard to tell if they're a whole lot different from some of the Monkees' songs.

So what's the consensus? Opinions on best songs, worst songs? Anything else you'd like to add, you in the back?

1. No feelings on the matter, just hated seeing you with 0 replies, so
I'm kicking it to the top in case someone does have an opinion.

I hope you never have to experience firsthand the great pain that accompanies a post without a response.

Cheers!

As you can see, though, your efforts have borne fruit. Or something.

Thanks again! *snif*

4. I (heart) the Buzzcocks!!!!!!
Please go listen to Orgasm Addict 10 or 20 times at top volume and report back!

Seriously, though, I don't get the Monkees comparison? Do we, like, own the same CD's or what? I mean, IMO, Monkees = not punk?

Orgasm Addict isn't on this compilation! ("I Don't Mind the Buzzcocks"). However I do recall that I've heard it once or twice.

The Monkees comparison I think is from my impression of "I Don't Mind".

I remember earlier today that I was quite liking "Moving Away From the Pulsebeat".

ON EDIT: Monkees not punk? Sex Pistols covered Stepping Stone, and didn't change it a whole lot.

11. Well, just that one song.
I mean, Neil Diamond wrote for them, and HE duetted with Barbra Streisand!

Wow, only three degrees of separation between Barbra Streisand and the Sex Pistols!!!!
