That is how many miles I have ridden since I got my new bike on July 26. Using Chicago as a geographical reference point, where would I be now if I rode in a straight line?

You could be in ten thousand places from down south to well into Canada to Pennsylvania to Wyoming.

I can hear the announcer now: "Congratulations, Prolesunited! You just rode 1,000 miles. What are you going to do next?"
Me: "I'm going to Disney World!" ;-)

Thanks for the link. If I ride just 20 more miles tomorrow, I can be in Denver.
I really liked Denver, too. The Rockies are awesome! Now that would be a thrilling place to bike.
