I felt the pears and they were not yet ripe--So no I haven't eaten a Pear. I am waiting though in anticipation. When SO came in last night and I expressed my thoughts about the pears looking like the ones in our grocery store--he reminded me that the Pears were grown here in the PNW. Duh---Of course I can get them in the store here. They're local. What a ditz i can be. The tower of Chocolate he ordered with the Pears is quite delightful though.

I just wanted you to be happy....and it sounds like you will be soon.
Funny, I grew up in Montana and we got plenty of shipments of Washington apples - never thought a think of it. Now that I live in Iowa Washington apples are considered a delicacy that only arrive during the holiday season. I thought, what's the big deal?!
Lucky you that you get those delicision pears all year round!!
Happy New Year
