One of the most incredible TV commercials I've ever seen
There is a commercial for a travel consortium currently running on Japanese TV that shows three ostriches on snow skis who are skiing like pros, doing fantastic tricks, wiping out, and walking into the lodge and shaking their snow off on everyone around them. It looks so real-- how in the world did they make that commercial?

1. Link
I had to see it for myself. I don't know how but computer manipulation is involved.

4. LOL, I love it :)
It's definitely CGI stuff, and very well done.

I especially like it when he's on the ski lift :)

3. I know! I know!!
It does use CG animation, and most likely digital replacement of a human with the ostriches via motion capture. It's also just as possible that the ostriches were completely CG animated, but my best guess would be that they modeled in the ostriches on top of a human motion capture.

I wish someone made a home motion capture system. I could have a lot of fun with something like that...
