Jury Duty!

I knew I shouldn't have checked the mail yesterday.

It's the grand jury though, so it's only two days and I get to hear some juicy stories, and I won't get stuck on some boring accident case.

1. My worst jury

I served on a jury for an interracial murder during the Bensonhurst crisis.

I lost about five pounds during the trial. I couldn't eat because of the tension.

Seriously, I think it's so very important. Even if called, I can't serve for health reasons and it really pisses me off.

My mom was an alternate on a death penalty case where she thought the vote went the wrong way (for conviction); she still agonizes over it.
