3. Well, yeah, but once you feng shui it, it's really quite nice |
|
I wouldn't stand for a floor full of sand in my house, though.
Bad enough getting sand in the *(@&^% tent when camping. I don't a pile of the shit sitting downstairs. :-)
Plus, I hope to hell she made sure they used sterilized sand, otherwise they're gonna be in for some awful surprises.

6. Clearly no pets or children in that house??? |

A friend of mine considered filling the lawn at her beach house with smooth white stones so she wouldn't have to mow the lawn anymore... but she remembered she had a dog who might have to poop once or twice--and what would she do, scoop the poop and the stones?

15. Actually, you scoop just the poop! |
|
I put 3 tons (about 3-4 inches thick) of pea gravel (tip of finger size) in my side yard for the dogs to poop on, and it's been great. Easy to rake into a pile, and the gravel lets the crap desicate very quickly, and the urine soaks down into the ground, which the rains eventually dilute to nothing.
Best decision I ever made.
A real time and maintenence saver. You can even choose from reds, pinks, salmons to shades of grey.
I highly recommend it.

She hates mowing the lawn, but she was concerned about having a urine soaked smeared rock front yard. She didn't do too much research or ask too many questions though.
I'll let her know that it may be easier (and not as gross) as she thinks. I've seen lawns covered with pea gravel down near the beach, and I think they look lovely.

Gotta love her, just for lookin'!
I love her creativity, but I wouldn't let her in my house without a contract and a detailed spec sheet of exactly what she was gonna do...
My first thought about the hay house was "Yeah, but I'm really allergic to hay - I wouldn't be able to live there." And I bet the chicken feather would be the same for me.

Just think if she had done the feather room with sand...oh my...my 2 kitties would have a field to play for the rest of their lives...especially if one added a gold fish pond. Better than aquariums which are natural cat tv's. :7

the show to reveal that she's not really a designer and this has been a huge joke all this time. What a moron! I stopped watching that show because I just can't take her and Doug. They get on my nerves.
