Life Aquatic w/Steve Zissou: What Bowie tune is over closing credits? |
|
Anyone have a list of the various Portugese acoustic treatments of Bowie that were sprinkled throughout the film by the Brazilian crew member?

I have the disc right here. Hey, is that Seu Jorge's stuff any good? He does some sort of hip hop, I believe.

2. Portugese acoustic Bowie was amusing in a wry, hipster kind of way. |
|
Sounds okay, it'd be a relaxing album to listen to, dunno that it'd make my top 20 or anything. Hopefully they'll have some full versions of those songs on the soundtrack.

3. Actually, they do have all of the Bowie songs/covers on the disc |
|
They're all there, in their complete form. Very lo-fi, too. The guy playing the covers, Seu Jorge, has an album out, which I understand is sort of post-hip hop.

4. Cool, thanks for the info! Did they put Devo "Gut Feeling/Slap your Mammy |
|
on the disc too? That's my favorite tune of theirs.

5. Yeah, the Devo tune is there |

Some great ambient/classical stuff, too. Highly recommended.
