Does anyone here rip the plastic bags off magazines at the newsstand? |
|
And why do they bag magazines? Oh, and if the MUST bag magazines atleast leave one display copy present. I don't do this but see pople do it all the time. If I'm gonna pay $8 for a magazine, I'm sure as hell gonna skim throught it before I buy it. Is this considered good marketing to bag magazines in plastic? Just asking!

1. Any overpackaging should be left at the store if possible. |

Sometimes at Safeway I'll buy two bags of tortilla chips that are packaged in a huge, unnecessary corrugated cardboard box. On top of that, it's impossible to put in a bag that way.
Telling the cashier that you don't want the box might annoy them because they have to deal with the extra packaging, but if enough people do it, manufacturers might eventually get the message. They sure won't if I take it all home.
