7. both have similar numbers in passing, and interceptions. |
|
have to give the kid from usc a slight edge because he's never blown out a knee. white has blown out both knees, but has been ok, the last two seasons.

5. Build the OL and running game first |
|
so your high-priced rookie QB doesn't get splattered.

6. True...there's no better way to psyche-out a rookie |
|
than to let him get knocked out a couple of times.

8. yeah, but you've got to grab those QB's when you can. those |
|
types of QB's don't come around often. the kid from USC, is probably a real good bet because of his experience of working with carroll (former NFL coach).

in the case of the Niners, you gotta consider that the front office is a mess. People are calling for the owner's head, the owner is seeking out opinions of Donahue around the league (and they're generally not good), and the only reason they're keeping Erickson around is because they don't want to fire him and pay millions for not coaching. Their house is in such a mess that it's almost guaranteed for failure.
Having said that, a seemingly franchise QB like Leinart might be just the ticket for an ownership under fire. I think the Niners would ruin him, though.
