10. It's crazy down there

We were partying at my uncle's ranch outside Bogota on new year's eve, not far from one of the most violent areas of the country. And all night we were hearing fireworks going off in the distance.
But in all honestly, we weren't really sure if they were actually gunshots going off in the distance. We just told ourselves they were fireworks so we wouldn't ruin our party mood.
