Man am I ever sick of eating--as I sit here polishing off a bow of chips.

6. I'm starting with EXERCISE too (ugh).

.
Dieting by itself in the past has only been minimally helpful.

I've resigned myself to the fact that I have to haul my ass around the block a few times each day. At least a mile if not more as I build up stamina.

8. Hey. I've lost 30 pounds, Twice!
Doing that. A combo of lowering my fat intake and going for 2 mile walks four or five times a week. It works!

9. That's good to hear!
I think lowering my caloric intake drastically for months--without exercise--has caused my metabolism to practically crash. It creeps along, making maximum use of each calorie.

I'm hoping the walking will stoke the furnace and jump start things.

11. Walking helps a lot.
Just do it as fast as you can. It looks dumb, but it sure helps. Good luck! I'll be with you in spirit.

12. I have dieted my entire life.
I've gained and lost and gained again. I'm working on having weight loss surgery early this year. That's my plan.

13. Me!
I need to lose weight anyway, but since I quit smoking last week, I have to proactively diet & exercise more because I don't want to gain the post-smoker's poundage. . .
