Anyone else think Robert Matsui sounded just like Jimmy Stewart? |

Everytime I heard him speak he reminded me of Jimmy Stewart. He seemed like a great guy and a fine Congressman.

He was a good guy, I hope someone takes up his fight against privatizing social security.

All the heavyweights are dropping for one reason or another. He used to be on Crossfire from time to time. And I swear when he would speak, I would think of Jimmy Stewart being on the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson reading a poem about his dog.

3. hah, you know Dick Gephardt always sounded like John Wayne to me |
|
I am gonna miss that guy, and I know he's unpopular here for the rose garden thing but as a extreme union supporter, I like the guy a lot.

But I can see what you mean. I like Gephardt too. I wasn't for him in the primaries, because I didn't think he was tough enough to win. But I felt the same about Kerry. It's funny, because I think Stewart and Wayne were both Republicans.

I liked Gephardt as a potential secretary of labor, he is old school I admit but thats part of the reason why I like him, he reminds me of my grandfolks, and for someone who is Cheney's age and a fellow midwestern protestant, I felt he showed great tolerance to his lesbian daughter.

6. yeah, Gep would be a perfect and natural fit for labor |
|
It's sad the way the pugs work. Secretary of Labor's mission is to destroy workers' rights. EPA's head's mission is to destroy the environment. Commerce secretary must be for monopolies that destroy competitive environments. Civil Rights division must enshrine discrimination in law. And so on. They would make Orwell puke, I must say.

and many of his interior Norton has many connections to polluters, and many of the people put in charge of parts of the interiors are former lobbyists who supported polluting it.
