Poll question: Insomnia, with work only a couple hours away...what should I do? |
|
My alarm is supposed to go off in an hour and a half. I even went to bed early and have taken two melatonins, but have managed to get a whole 2 hours of sleep thus far. What should I do now?

I've been there, and it will probably suck. Those melatonins will not help you, either. My sleep schedule is all messed up due to the holidays. I'm used to going to bed at 4-5 and getting up at noon-1. I will be in your boat come tomorrow night...
oh, sorry, no good advice here...

2. Give it up, it's worse to have a little sleep than none at all. Of |

course that's just my opinion. Unless you want to try what my mom used to suggest when I was a kid, got find a rock and have someone rock you to sleep. Yes, insanity is hereditary. LOL

3. Being in the Military, I know a bit about sleep deprivation... |

...you'll be better off getting a 30 minute "Power nap". More than that and you'll just feel tired all day. Once daylight hits, you'll get that jolt of energy that should get you through to mid morning. Try and take another nap at lunch. I actually went almost 2 weeks once getting no more than 2 hours of sleep a day, but taking 30 minute naps at different times and it got me through. But beware, once you crash, Oh lord you crash hard. Circadian Rhythms can be a bitch sometimes.
