That would have been a group to see. I started following Metallica shortly after he left the group. I would love to have seem Hetfield and Mustaine on the same stage playing together. Not that Kirk Hammet isn't a fine musician, I just think Dave Mustaine would have been a sight to see.

I saw them with Slayer, Anthrax and Alice in Chains in 1991.
It was pretty lame, and unspontaneous watching them move around the stage in geometric patterns banging their heads.
That, and the fact that every song has the drummer counting to four with the high hat at least a couple of times just turned me off.
Edit: looking at his face in that picture, one thing comes to mind: "the Corey Feldman of Metal." Does anybody else see this?
