The Grateful Dead blow.
What did the Deadhead say when he sobered up? "Man, this music BLOWS!"

2. .
Your rain falls like crazy fingers
Peals of fragile thunder keeping time

Recall the days that still are to come
Some sing blue

Hang your heart on laughing willow
Stray down to the water
Deep Sea of Love

Beneath the sweet calm face of the sea
Swift undertow

Life may be sweeter for this, I don't know
See how it feels in the end
May Lady Lullaby sing plainly for you
Soft, strong, sweet and true

Cloud hands reaching from a rainbow
Tapping at the window touch your hair

So swift and bright
Strange figures of light
Float in air

Who can stop what must arrive now?
Something new is waiting to be born

Dark as the night
You're still by my side
Shining side

Gone are the days we stopped to decide
Where we should go
We just ride

Gone are the broken eyes we saw through in dreams
Gone - both dream and lie

Life may be sweeter for this I don't know
Feels like it might be alright
While Lady Lullaby sings plainly for you
Love still rings true

Midnight on a carousel ride
Reaching for the gold ring down inside

Never could reach
It just slips away but I try

Well, they're better than the Gibson Bros. At least.

Al, where the hell did you go late NEw YEar's Eve? Me and Chavez posted like twelve threads devoted to you, but you didn't show up to any of them, you ungrateful swish.

9. NOBODY is better than the Gibson Bros.
At least until that asshat Jon Spencer joined the band and fucked it up.

And I wasn't around much after midnight because I have a fucking LIFE. Of course, at that moment, my life was being spent passed out in a pool of my own sick. But that's neither here nor there.

10. Hey they have a good song
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 02:01 PM by ZoCrowes
That they just keep playing over and over and over and over and over

I can listen to the Dead if I'm in the right frame of my mind but I really hate hippies. Most of the neo-hippies I know have really crappy pot and stupid whiteboy dreadlocks

13. I love hippies
Some of the nicest, most inoffensive people on earth. Hippy haters on the other hand...

12. yes they do
one of the most boring bands ever. Pointless, mindless noodling, souless crap, completely without juice or blood or vibrancy of any kind.

14. My favorite Dead tune goes like this:
"Al Hedges from Wichita
Cut his buddy down..."

although for some reason they usually changed the name to "Jack Straw"... :-)

15. We went to see the grateful dead
We all were hungry
we all got fed.

Inspiration, move me brightly. light the song with sense and color;
Hold away despair, more than this I will not ask.
Faced with mysteries dark and vast, statements just seem vain at last.
Some rise, some fall, some climb, to get to terrapin.

Counting stars by candlelight, all are dim but one is bright;
The spiral light of venus, rising first and shining best,
Oh, from the northwest corner of a brand new crescent moon,
While crickets and cicadas sing, a rare and different tune,
Terrapin station.
