I can't stand David Caruso--------Is it me?
He has an arrogant attitude that oozes out of his every pore and his method of speech drives me nuts.

Watching and listening to him makes me feel the way I do when fingernails are being scraped across a blackboard.

I stopped watching CSI:Miami because of him.

2. I can't stop watching CSI: Miami because of him!
Yes, he's godawful, but I find that highly amusing, as does my wife. We like to try and predict when he's going to do that "repeat the last thing I said for emphasis" thing.

6. I spent one whole episode transfixed by his upper lip. Is he
the recipient of the first baboon to man upper lip transplant or what?

And, oh god, those "soulful" looks at the end of each episode. :puke:

But maybe this is just a male thing. I know a lot of women who think he's hot.

4. I loathe him. I despise him. I would not pee on him if he was on fire.
So no, it's not you. Thank God he left NYPD after one season, he was dreadful. I haven't watched him since. He's a turd.

7. agreed. never understood the uproar over him the FIRST time when
he left NYPD blue or whatever.
He can't really act, he's not really pleasant, and he mangles dialogue.
Basically, without the red hair he's like the vanilla ice of acting. With the red hair he's like the pippi longstockings of acting.

10. Yeah, CSI Miami is bad, and its the characters if not Caruso personally
For some reasons, the Miami people are arrogant superman braniacs that can look at a crime scene and have 99% of the answers on sight. They don't seem either as human or as interesting as Vegas, and in Vegas the real stars are the techniques and science, not the people. Plus, Miami fall prey to the usual mistake TV makes, confusing somber and dour with dramatic. Nobody has any fun, whereas in Vegas the characters show satisfaction in their work and each other's company.

14. There is something about him...what is it?
He isn't good looking, he's barely tolerable.
He does have kind of a sexy voice, and if I watched the show with my eyes closed I would picture someone very sexy. Arrogant, but sexy.
He plays the CSI character the same way he played NYPD Blue- but it worked better on that show, where there were other interesting male characters for comparison.
I just can't believe all the cleavage from the "professional" women on these shows.
More boobs than guns at these crime scenese!

16. I can't stand him either!
The way he stands with his hands on his hips in every scene bugs the hell out of me. I don't like the blond in the lab (who is in toothpaste commercials) either. I love Miami and I tried to watch the show just to see the places where I like to be, but I had to quit the show after two episodes.

When they announced that one of the main characters would be killed, I hoped it was Caruso. Damn! No such luck.

21. CSI: Miami is much worse
What bugs me is that his character shows up at crime scenes with his gun drawn, kicking ass and taking names. I'd like to make one point in that regard:

HE'S THE F*CKING LABORATORY GUY!

"Captain, we have a dangerous hostage situation, what should we do?!"
"I dunno. Send in the guy with the lab coat."

23. I hate the stupid orange filters they use in every scene.
I used to live in Miami, and the light does NOT have that quality. It gives it an ugly "L.A." look.

And yes, Caruso sucks too.
