N.C. Fox TV Station Won't Air "Who's Your Daddy"

NEW YORK -- After protests from adoption advocates, a Fox TV affiliate in North Carolina won't be airing Monday night's special called "Who's Your Daddy?"

In the show, an adoptive daughter who's been searching for her birth father tries to guess which man he is -- for a $100,000 prize.

So far, the Raleigh-Durham station is the only one of 182 Fox affiliates to respond to an appeal from an adoption group, which called the show exploitive.

The North Carolina station will instead air a film on the adoption experience.

Producers called the special a "positive experience" for both the woman and her father -- and urged viewers not to prejudge it.
