My 70 lb dog thinks his rear end is the center of the universe
If you understand this principle you will be able to figure out why he has the middle of the bed and you are hanging on to the edge, and you will be able to snuggle to his convenience.

If you move the rear end, you are effectively moving the universe, so be careful.

1. We have four dogs that total about 100 lbs.
Not as much struggle to move, since we only have to move a piece of the universe at any one time, but I understand what you mean completely!

3. We have five dogs that weigh about 60 pounds all together. My
biggest one, 22 pounds does the same thing. I just got through taking care of my sister's French Mastiff who weighs 120 pounds. Same thing.

4. And when trying to move them, they feel like 150 lbs
However, when the mood strikes, they feel small enough to be a lapdog. :-)

5. A 70 lb dog's rear end is the center of the universe
as is an 80, 90, 100 pound dog's rear end.

6. Of course there is always the "butt rotation" move
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 08:01 PM by madison2000
in which the entire dog can be rotated by gently pushing the rear end in a quarter circle at a time.

Nevertheless, the rear end remains at the center of the given universe.
