2. Why do you ask us to diagnose your condition?
We hardly know what's going on.
But IMHO I'd say you do have the flu.

9. Sounds like the flu to me
I just got over the worst cold I've ever had. I coughed so hard and deep that I either strained or broke my lower rib. The pain is vicodin worthy, but I think I'll just do the Advil thing unless it gets worse. It sucks having no health insurance.

10. Sounds like what I had
for Christmas. I'm still coughing 13 days later. I was out of commission for a week, totally missed Christmas.
This was only the third time in my life I've had the flu.
I hope you feel better soon. The flu is no fun.

12. Signs point to "Yes"
I'd say it's probably the flu. I'm just getting over it, an a lot of people at work have it, too.

Take care & get rested.

16. Try to
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 08:28 PM by Canadian Socialist
keep the little one's temp down. At that age (hell any age!) it can be very dangerous. Steam yourself to loosen up mucous. Vicks rub is good as well. Stay away from aspirin. Try tylenol to reduce fever. Cool compresses for child. And lots of water (to drink). ((((hugs))))

edited to add: damn Bush for no flu shots for his people! They're free up here! But that doesn't help you now, does it?

19. I am recovering from a week full of that
Edited on Mon Jan-03-05 10:10 PM by chimpsrsmarter
my highest temp reached 104.5, my daughter also had it 1st and then passed it to me. I started feeling bad last Tuesday night and finally today my temp is back to normal but my head is still stuffy and i still have a heck of a cough. The upside? I've lost 10 lbs and havent smoked in almost a week.
