World's Oldest Mother Is 67

ADRIANA Iliescu, a 67-year-old retired Romanian university teacher, will soon become the world's oldest mum.

Ms Iliescu is seven months pregnant with twins after almost a decade of treatment in fertility clinics. :eyes: She said she was expecting girls.

The previous oldest woman to give birth was believed to be a 65-year-old in India in 2003.

Age has also proven to have benefits for an Englishman who celebrated his 100th birthday more than pound stg. 7000 ($17,200) the richer yesterday.

He had placed a bet 10 years ago - on his own life expectancy.
