1. You mean like
when you're traveling down an unfamiliar highway and a billboard let's you know that there is a gas station ahead.

Yeah, I hate being informed too.

4. Does seeing an ad for McDonalds
make you stop in and buy their food?

Have you always had willpower issues?

10. you are correct-o-mundo !
Ever had the nightmare about having to work on Madison Ave. writing ad copy for insane products, wearing lame fashion and being a super neo yuppy ? Alot of brainwashing tech goes into
being good ad the ad game. The worst form of ad speak is used by the little Karl Roves and Newts.

11. I like it if it's funny.
However the way people seem to take leave of their senses re: brand names does make me think all advertising is indeed evil.

14. Nobody will enforce it either... The FCC is content to ban what it thinks
is nudity, yet it won't fritter a fuck about the actual content.

:grr:

15. Some sucks more than others
The most annoying is what you can't avoid.

Like ads shown while at the movie theatre. At home - I can at least mute them.

"Ads" that are part of movies are even more unavoidable - unless you just avoid the movie altogether.

I love commercial free radio and TV. That's part of why I have a limited tolerance for Air America. I can't stand the ads.

16. Me too. I find that progressive radio with ads from the same old
shit kind of negates the point of the radio content, but that is just me... I am an unabashed lefty.
