when you're traveling down an unfamiliar highway and a billboard let's you know that there is a gas station ahead.
Yeah, I hate being informed too.

Ever had the nightmare about having to work on Madison Ave. writing ad copy for insane products, wearing lame fashion and being a super neo yuppy ? Alot of brainwashing tech goes into being good ad the ad game. The worst form of ad speak is used by the little Karl Roves and Newts.

11. I like it if it's funny. |

However the way people seem to take leave of their senses re: brand names does make me think all advertising is indeed evil.

14. Nobody will enforce it either... The FCC is content to ban what it thinks |

is nudity, yet it won't fritter a fuck about the actual content.

The most annoying is what you can't avoid.
Like ads shown while at the movie theatre. At home - I can at least mute them.
"Ads" that are part of movies are even more unavoidable - unless you just avoid the movie altogether.
I love commercial free radio and TV. That's part of why I have a limited tolerance for Air America. I can't stand the ads.
