1. The snarky attitude on there is really depressing |
|
If I were an admin I would long ago have gone on a granite-hurling rampage in that forum.

9. Ham actually keeps a long time. |
|
You could easily store a ham for three weeks without any adverse affects. It's smoked/cured, so it's not like fresh, uncooked meat.
Milk will keep up to seven days after the expiration date, but milk never lasts long enough around here to test that.

(Part of why it keeps so long - salt is a preservative.) I know the saltiness bothers a lot of people.
I don't eat much ham myself - ham for Christmas, the leftovers turned into ham soup, and the occasional ham sandwich. I usually serve pork roast for Easter.

My first post was going to be "Oh you just served...." but I decided that might end this thread and the idea of a cross-forum copycat thread especially when the first one was about the Lounge and then you, well you know, wow, as a copycat thread lover, jus WOW! I wish I would have thought of it first.

22. Best. Thread. Ever. No, really. EVER. |
|
I salute you.
I'd nominate it for the homepage, but that might get it locked.
(I have to say, I salute Skinner for his timely and thoughtful ham refrigeration advice in this post-festive timeframe. It's good to see the ATA Forum populated with such information.)
