If you are going after the political thing, you can always try to incorporate the terms Neanderthal or Attila the Hun. I find THAT really makes Republicans happy. You CAN simply use the phrase "lying sack of shit" but I find it lacks artistry.

I tend to steer away from the easy or cheap shots. Try and be creative for maximal impact...
