And as the saying goes, "If God is not a Tarheel, why is the sky Carolina blue?" ;-)

2. The sky is blue?!
Do you have any evidence? Can you support this claim?

5. Aww, too rainy
in Seattle, SOteric? You can move here. We're sliding into indian summer. Warm, sunny days, but definitely cooler nights. Good sleeping weather.

The blue is a particular kind of deep robin's egg blue. You get the feeling when you look up at the sky of leaping into infinity.

Did you ever read the short story "All Summer in a Day"? I forget the author's name.

7. Eh. The weather's actually been
uncharacteristically sunny around here.

Personally, I love the rain. It doesn't rain here like it does in the south. It's more of a very wet mist, or a damp fog. Some days it's a persistent drizzle, but rarely if ever do we get the big 'bucket-sized' drops and torrential downpours.

The author is Sitwell, and yes. It was an interesting, lyrical way to present a biography.

6. That's because God is a Penn State fan
That blue has nothing to do with North Carolina and more to do with the Blue & White of the Nittany Lions!

for a working vacation. I only got to do a whistle-stop at Asheville. That place needs a week of serious attention.

19. Oh, yeah!! At least a week!
I thought yesterday, Will, that you only saw about two streets here and about four blocks, off the expressway. Did you drive through downtown??? Picture perfect weather it was.

Anyway, it was great to meet you, and please come back and see us anytime!

17. We rock, we roll,
we drink, we smoke, and some of us puke our guts out. But most importantly of all...

WE BURN STUFF GOOD!

Was my great pleasure to meet you, Mr. Pitt, and to trick you into drinking the pure concentrated evil sugarcane rum of death. And thanks a million for convincing dolo amber that the Dead makes for good bonfire music. Let us know when you head back up to Asheville.
