A pack of Marlboros just went up 70 cents 4 days ago from 2.70 a pack to 3.40 a pack.

That's in Denver, CO (Statewide cig tax passed in Nov)

And the most pricey cigs we had (with tax) were $3.85 a pack (Camels, Marlboros, Newports, etc.), and the cheapest were $2.13 (The store's house brand, Tourney) .

I buy them at a specialty shop where the prices are a bit lower. I usually have a coupon, too for $4-$5 off a carton. I usually pay about $26 with taxes and a coupon.

Which is why most people drive 5 miles over the border into Indiana. The discount stores in Indiana have the off-brands for as little as $17.88 a carton.

by the pack. There are usually 3-pack specials on them for $9 and change. And a carton can run anywhere from $21.00 to $25.00.

I'm not sure exactly how much a single pack is... hovers around 3.00 I think... I buy by the carton. At 7-11 Camels/Marlboro are 25.00 almost everywhere else a carton runs 35.00 and up. Oh yeah, I'm in Dallas.
