48. Hes perhaps the most dominant competitior in sports History
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 06:16 AM by TyeDye75
and the second richest, after Tiger Woods...whose endorsement deals are phenominal (plus he wins a few tournaments)

This past season he won about 12 races in a 17 race season. However he wrapped up the championship with several races left so he could have won more if hed needed too.

BTW there is a Grand Prix (race) in the US... in Indianapolis, usually around early autumn

The sport gets a lot of stick becuase he dominates so much... but the guy is probably the greatest driver of all time so.. its tough luck really

PS...well done Micheal

Edited on Tue Jan-04-05 06:54 PM by Kellanved
He did it in a Fundrasing TV show which was unberably boring - no brownie points for him (well maybe a few):

ON Edit: The show was probbaly quite successful, the final donations counter after 150 minutes was in the ballpark of €40 Million, with the Deutsche Bank being the largest single contributor.

20. Oh. a fuel wasting sport
well most of them are, but I guess the sheeple need their entertainment.
That is good of him to give back

Exxon, rapist of Aceh, is only giving 5,000,000. And they're quite proud of that. I'm sure they'll give theirs to the Indonesian military.

Right on Michael. I am your newest fan:thumbsup:

25. No. It takes place all over the world
The United States Grand Prix is at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway; they built a road course specifically for the F1 race.

Watkins Glen hosts many forms of racing, but that's not one of them.

38. Okay...
If somebody got killed, it was 1973 or 1974.

If a backmarker (in a Ferrari no less) was black-flagged for holding up the 2nd place driver, it was 1975.

If a blond guy withg long hair won, it was 1976 or 1977.

If an Argentinian won, it was 1974 or 1978.

If a Canadian won, it was 1979.

If a Scotsman wearing a plaid cap won, it was 1972.

36. Another tidbit from M. Schumacher
Back in 1995 or 97 (can't remember) he received some death threats, signed by some Islamic group. In an interview, asked about the threats, his response was:

"I don't think it was Arabs. More likely, neo-nazis trying to make Arabs look bad."

We keep hearing how he spearheaded turning Ferrari into such a great team; I'd love to see what he could do with, oh, say... Minardi?

Then maybe Ferrari would let Rubens actually drive a race.

Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 08:40 PM by tjdee
That's all I have to add.

on edit: There is not a number that is "good" to give, or "bad" to give. Any giving at all is good. Except in Bush's case, because as we know he is always a major jerk. He's spending much more than that on his big "Lookie, me pwesident! Still!" party.

To make it clear that's 10 million EURO Dollars, which is 18 million US Dollars.

That's quite a contribution and one of the larger individual donations I've seen.

Euros aren't Dollars at all, but €uros.

Nonetheless, an admirable action.

:D

Edit: it would be more like 14 Million US anyway ;-)
