I'm tired and my feet hurt
Yesterday was my first day back at work after a year off (I had surgery - nothing fun). I am SO tired after working 2 eight hour days after doing pretty much nothing for almost a year (except marathon posting on DU). The only thing I've done for 8 hours straight is sleep (and post on DU)!

My feet and legs are so exhausted - but my neck which is where I had the surgery is great. First time in over ten years with NO pain. Or maybe my feet hurt so much I can't feel my neck.

Hugs would help. Alcohol would probably help more. And a foot massage would be great.

3. Mmmmm.......
That sounds wonderful. It's what I should be doing rather than sitting here at the computer but I'm also suffering from Lounge Withdrawal.

4. But isn't it kind of exciting that you're healthy enough
to go back to work?!

5. Yes! Absolutely.
I'm so excited that my neck doesn't hurt AT ALL. I have a very physical job which is why I took so much time to heal (I run the wine and liquor department at a grocery store - lots of lifting) and I'm amazed it's not even a little bit sore. I've lived with chronic pain for so long and now it's gone. Completely. Yeah, that's a good thing.

It feels good to be back. But I can't beleive how tired my legs are - I've never taken this amount of time off from work in my (long) life!

6. It's only natural that your body will be sore
in the first week or so. Your body just needs time to adapt to hard labor again.

It seems like you spend a lot of time on your feet.

Glad that the pain is gone! :hi:
