11. I thought youngsters were sometimes confined to fields... |

where the nice, soft grassy turf would protect their precious widdle heads. Unfortunately, here in Tucson we don't have much grass - only rocks and cholla (a very sticky cactus) - but we do have a few nice fields. They are packed during the spring and fall, and it is hard to get a free one for a game of ultimate frisbee. :(

We have this nice grassy stretch here at the U. called the mall where it was perfect for ultimate until they went and dug a big hole and put a library extension in the hole - although that's pretty cool itself. There's still a lot of mall left, but the hole spot was sweet turf and now it's gone.

I like a lot of people I have class with so it will be tough to say good bye but I am of course happy too because its been a long 12 years, and to paraphrasing my senior quote, to suffer is one of the best learning experiences. I am going to the local community college for a year or so, I hope if I do good and work my ass off, I can go to the very good George Washington University.
