The Autumn Ritual....

Clear off every flat surface inside and grab the housplants (giv 'em a good soak to get the spiders out) and bring 'em inside....

Help my GF do the same,put the hoses in the cellar, move patio furniture around, pull the AC units out of the windows...(OY! My BACK!)

It's heading for the high 30's tonight.

Soon I will be blasting my paycheck up the flue in suplication to the Great Cheney...

1. It's diferent for me

I live in the desert. We had one of the hottest summers on record, reaching over 110 every day for a month, and up to 120! Now it only gets up to 100 for a high, and soon we will be down to the 80s and enjoying the weather! Fall is like Spring to us. I can't wait to be able to go out in the middle of the day without feeling like I am in an oven.

Enjoy your cool weather! Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere where there are 4 distinct seasons.

2. We have 2 1/2 seasons...

Seems like 6 months of cold, snow, and ice with 3 weeks of thaw and rain then 5 months of blistering drought followed by a week when you don't need either the AC or the heat...

Then it frosts again....

When I was married to a girl from Michigan, not once in 4 years did we manage to go visit the in-laws on the weekend they were having Summer...
