Took a nap, woke up, now the city (Chicago) is buried in snow.

Day off from work, needed rest......slept about three hours. When I went to sleep this afternoon in Chicago, it was dry and the temp was about 35-37 degrees.

Woke up a few minutes ago, looked out the window and discovered we're getting POUNDED by snow. About an inch has fallen so far here in Lakeview.

Damn! I love nature! (That's why I live in, uh, Chicago...)

9. Used to see the dark cloud hanging over Gary and that was 30 years ago

maybe longer. Growing up in Miller Beach was still a lot of fun. We had no idea what clean air was. Walked up and down the sand and dunes on Lake Michigan from steel mill to steel mill, well almost, every summer for several years. But, every time I left the city and drove back home, there was that "gray cloud" of welcome.

I haven't seen snow in seven years. Hope you don't get too much.
