Kangaroo On The Loose Near Dodgeville

Iowa County sheriffs deputies and Dodgeville police are trying to find a kangaroo that was spotted in the area Monday night.

Officials do not know where it came from.

They believe it is a 4-foot-tall red kangaroo. It was spotted just outside the city of Dodgeville by the Madison exit.

I feel your pain, kind of reminds me (in a tangential way) of a story about a guy in Duluth MN who owned a Cobra snake and was bitten by it and the animal control people had to destroy the snake (and I believe they charged the guy with some sort of illegal pet thing).

What would possess people to own wild animals as pets? There is a reason they are wild animals!

2. reminds me of the time

an "alien" was reported to have been seen by several people in south central Illinois, back in the early 70s. At that time, I was commuting on a stretch of Interstate that went through the county where these sightings had taken place. Lo and behold, I came round a curve, and there was a large aardvark in the highway! I'm sure this was the 'alien' that was spotted.
