Man Invents 'Automatic Condom' For Toilets
this makes THREE toilet stories in one morning! a new record me thinks :D

<snip>

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Alan Brill wants to keep those nasty public potty germs away from your behind.

He has invented a high-tech toilet seat that includes an automatic plastic sleeve. It's sort of like a condom for safe sitting.

Brill said the user just has to wave a hand in front of a sensor and a fresh layer of plastic covers the commode seat.

The Florida entrepreneur said his toilet seats are already installed in a number of upscale businesses. He told the Palm Beach Post that a public bathroom is like the United Nations of germs.

Why would anybody want to put their private parts there, he asked.

2. Has anyone ever gotten a disease from a toilet seat?
Or is the market for these products driven by an anxiety not supported by reality.

3. a little old
a restaurant in Tampa in the 80s had a self cleaning toilet seat. When a person got off it, the seat would flip up and go into a unit to clean it and them popped back down in normal position. Everybody that knew about this seat, always had to "go" just to watch it work.

Sleeved toilette seats and self-cleaning toilets are pretty common.
