What corporate Reugnican drone put that abomination together? I know this was sort of covered in a couple of other threads, but they don't even come close to getting at how truly awful this was.

Kelly Clarkson. Who the hell is this chick? First her mic won't work, thank God for small favors, then when she gets one that works, it miraculously has 3 voices coming through it, one of which (I'm guessing the live one) is horrendously off-key. Not that the song deserved any better treatment than that, but I definitely agree with the guy in the stands who managed to get picked up by the TV mics during a quiet moment shouting, "Get the fuck off the stage!!!"

Trace Armstrong. Another WTF? "This song is about me"??? I've heard some hokey, jingoistic nonsense in recent years, but this POS made Lee Greenwood and Toby Keith sound positively talented and intelligent. Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE shit. However, not the worst thing of the night.

Jessica Simpson. Some no-talent sister of a no-talent, manufactured celeb wearing some sort of D&S outfit as imagined by Pat Boone and the right Reverand Jerry Falwell, comes out singing a vacuous piece of pop fluff, backed by a guitar player in a mohawk and a drummer sporting a huge anarchy symbol on his bass drum. To make matters worse, she has the audacity to have a bunch of faux-Smells Like Teen Spirit black-clad cheerleaders "dancing" all over the stage. How fucking stupid do they think we are?

Good thing I got the satisfaction of watching the crowd boo to their heart's content when it was done, because that is 15 minutes of my life that I will never get back. I miss the days of Steven Tyler singing naughty stuff to girls who should be thinking about prom dates, or Janet's malfunctioning tit.

Even Eisenhower didn't envision this in his warning. The coup is now complete.

only about 30 seconds of it....couldn't understand what was going on...or, for that matter what wasSUPPOSED to be going on....said a quick :wtf: and turned the TV OFF! went to bed early (I had been up since 2AM so it was probably a good idea).

Whoever scripts those half-time shows should be banned from producing ANYTHING for TV ever again.

She's not as attractive as her sister (IMO, others will probably disagree), and the "punk" act (she used to be a clean cut blonde when she started) isn't working either. I don't hate her or wish harm on her, but do think she is extremely overrated and wish the MTV culture would quit showing her.

Kelly-American Idol. Unfortuneately this appears on one of the TVs in my apartment, regularly. She appeared on the finale last year and looked like she had been on a 10 month pill/booze fest. She looked better last night.
