someone who left his wife soon after the birth of their second child because she had postpartum depression and partied hearty while she had to deal with everything herself. I don't care how much money and fame he has or how handsome he is.

Rudy, their third and her fourth, was a premature birth after which she had postpartum depression, was born in September 2002. She went into a clinic in January 2003, when Jude flew home from the set of Cold Mountain to take care of their children. Their divorce was finalized (she filed, he didn't) in October 2003. In July 2003 she's quoted as saying they were still "best friends".

I don't know how much hearty partying he was doing while filming Cold Mountain, but I do know Sadie thought he was having an affair with Nicole Kidman.
