help with ms-dos/command prompt |

i can't for the life of me remember how to do this
if i want to look up the registry for a web address, you know find out who it's registered to, the address, etc...how do i do that? haven't done it for awhile and am currently racking my brain to remember...
HELP

in Unix it's "whois" as in:
whois democraticunderground.com
and to be honest Microsoft copied Unix a lot so it might be the same.

http://www.kiraly.com/software/utilities/whois/the only trouble is you must drop the www. so www.cnn.com becomes cnn.com

If you're at a MSDOS command prompt type "regedit" If you're in Windoze use explorer; go to the windows folder and click on regedit. Once regedit is started use the find function.
On edit: in MSDOS, if your path does not include the windows directory, CD \windows then regedit.
