It is located about 40 Km northwest of Leipzig, in the former East Germany. I attended the Martin Luther University there just after Communism ended.
Thanks for the help!

19. Back in the early 90s |

the reactions were mixed, ranging from outright hostility to being very friendly. I was adopted by a good Socialist family and made a full-fledged member of their family.
I speak German well enough to where the Germans knew I was a foreigner, but they could not tell from where. The East Germans knew immediately that I was from the west because of my clothes; at least this was what they told me.

With the exception of Spain, I have only been in Eastern/Central Europe (Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary).
I am a high school German teacher and take summer trips with my students every year to Germany. The company I do business with issues points for taking these trips and after this summer I will have enough for a free trip for two. I am going to choose Dublin. Unfortunately, this trip will be in 2006. I must be patient (argh).

26. Favorite actor/ actress |
|
For actors, it's a toss-up between Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman and Samuel L. Jackson.
For actresses: Franka Potente (Lola rennt, Anatomie, etc.)

I'm over the halfway point! I'll think of some other ideas for questions soon.
For example, I gave this one to my students as an extra credit once: How many cats would a cat-nip nip, if a cat-nip could nip cats? Please show your work.
I received a variety of answers: numerical amounts, drawings, mathematical equations, etc.... Anyone who provided something received credit, but one student gave the best answer (in my opinion): Cat-nip is a plant, therefore, it could not bite a cat. Unless... maybe... it were cross-bred with a venus fly trap!
