So...question here for guys and girls |
|
One of my roomates was informed by a co-worker that he would no longer be hanging out with her. Becuase his wife is out of the country (She lives far away and is trying to come here.) He says it isn't proper for him to be going around with single girls. He said people don't plan to cheat...they just do. She has NO interest in him and never has. But she was insulted a friend would say this. I think the guy must like her and is worried he can't control himself...or he's ultra lame.
What say you?

3. I think he is perfectly justified in his actions |
|
If he no longer wishes to associate with your roommate that is his right.

But he still claims to be her friend...he just doesn't want to hang out with her alone.

9. He's just taking relations down a notch |
|
If people can say "let's just be friends", then I think it is perfectly justifiable to say "let's just be less close friends"

15. If she asked you to kick his ass for downgrading the relationship... |
|
then he has pulled a true coup d'grace.
It means that by playing hard to get "I won't be around anymore" he has pushed a button. If she had no interest in him then she wouldn't want you to kick his ass for demoting the friendship

if he really feels that way he could have just avoided her until his wife gets back. As weird as it seems, I think that's more diplomatic and PC.

6. He thinks he's a stud.... |
|
This guy thinks he's a stud and your roomie wouldn't be able to keep herself from falling in love/wanting his body/whatever.

14. WOW, that is almost exactly what happened to me!!!!! |
|
All my Junior year of college (i'm a senior now) and through the summer i had this excellent friendship with a girl. It was the best friendship i ever had as we did everythingn together and we talked at least every 2 weeks throughout the summer with me coming down to her beach house and spending the day there. She has a boyfriend in South Africa and i've always been perfectly cool with that and we talk about him all the time. He even spent the summer in the US to be with her and it was still OK that we were able to spend a day together without him. Then suddenly in September she IMed me to say that she was significantly cutting off our friendship. There would be no more spending time alone. Even when i assured her i would never EVER try and date her, she was firm in her position, even finding other reasons to call our friendship off, like saying i have too many female friends (WTF??). I swear either her boyfriend talked to her, but if it was never a problem for over a year, why all of a sudden??? WTF!!!!

18. I don't think it matters if it's his choice or his wife's. |
|
Either way it's a sign of weakness in his marriage. If your married and can't trust yourself to have friends of the opposite sex w/o jumping their bones, that's one doomed marriage. If you can't trust your spouse to have friends of the opposite sex w/o jumping their bones the same applies.
Your friend may be better off without this person hanging out with her.
