FYI: For "Jaws," Universal Studios forced a "little person" (pc term?) into a shark cage... against his will... with a real live white shark... so they could film the scenes where Richard Dreyfuss gets attacked. They threw chum in the water and all.

For "scale purposes" & such.

That's pretty cold shit if you think about it.

1. You're up early and thinking awfully hard about some
crazy shit. I only saw that movie once, years ago. That was some scary stuff. Of course, I would never swim in the ocean at night the way the girl in the opening scene did. :hi:

3. I love those kinds of shows.
I saw one on the muppets and Sesame Street - it was pretty cool.

BTW - did you keep the meat and cheese list I sent you? I'm sending you some rolls and "official" Philadelphia hoagie oil. :)

I'm also hi-jacking your thread in case you were wondering.

7. I don't think so. Bean sprouts and sun dried tomatoes do NOT
belong on a hoagie. Do I have to get Skittles in here to kick your ass?

13. You can only watch
if I'm there to hold yer hand and shield yer eyes when it gets too gory. Skittles does fine work, but it's def-nit-lee an NC-17 rating...

17. No way, dude!
If you get to bring Skittles, sundog gets to bring a friend, too. And I just sorta naturally assumed he'd choose me. I mean, he IS Lounge-stalking me...

:P

15. Chevalier Shortbus!
Where the hell have you been??? I've had to take on all these scavery projects by myself while you were off gallivanting around high society!

Dammit! I'm exhausted.

Get back to work! I need a frigging break :P

16. I've been at Bob Vila Fantasy Camp!
No, not really. I've been scavering about the homestead, preparing for the coming brutal winter while it's 77 degrees and sunny. :D

5. Love the Aussie phonetic spelling. :)
I don't get it... so the little guy was in the cage WITH the shark? That's nuts!

And I think that 'little person' is indeed the preferred term over midget or dwarf. Not sure, though.

Seriously, though... that's alarming. I can understand freezing your ass off on a set or something like that, but being forced into a cage with a shark?! :o
