What.

The.

HELL.

I take my books from last trimester back to the bookstore to sell back, and I'm not expecting much back, but what the hell???

The lady is all "Well most of these books were wholesale so...lets see...one dollars for this one...$1.25 for this one..."

One of the books (the most expensive one, some calculus book) was one I bought used, and never even opened, and when I tried to return it she was like, "I can't take this one, it has some type of fluid damage and is badly ripped." That's exactly how it was shipped to me when I ordered it online in the summer, from THEIR bookstore!!!

AAAAAAAAAAH!!! :grr: :nuke:

1. That's not the way you do it.
You let the bookstore sell them for you. They get a cut of course. Most have a program such as this in place.

4. Never buy from your bookstore unless you *must*
Always go to the publisher's website at least, and B&N.com/amazon.com/half.com if you can. Bookstores mark up $40+. And the wholesale line is pure unadulterated bullshit, unless you were returning copies of Shakespeare.

If you ever need a Thomson-published book, let me know. That's who I work for.
