Nerdy Lounge Geography Quiz.
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 09:43 PM by Wat_Tyler
I'll start with a couple of questions, you can come up with some yourself, should you wish to display your own special nerdiness.

1. Paris is the largest city in the world with a French name, but what are the second and third largest cities with a French name?

2. What is the largest city with a Dutch name? And the second?

3. What is the largest city with a Native North American name?

4. What is the largest city with a Scottish name?

18. OK - The French name is open to debate.
Montreal is second largest - I had Detroit for third, as it was named that when under French ownership - but that may be a native name. Anyone able to clear that up?

33. Houston was named in honour of General Sam Houston
and it is a Scottish last name - so it's debatable. Maybe it qualifies.
Anyway, that's not the city I had in mind.
