22. My point of view on this one.

First off, I am not equating Jesus to Kerry. Just the story of passover has a weird deja vu to it.

Pontius Pilate gave the populace a choice to release from prison either the thief, or the one to make their lives better . They had an obvious choice to begin with and they were going to choose Jesus. But the rich, powerful and greedy started yelling to release Barrabas, the thief. The poor felt obligated that they should do as the rich say and believe them. Anyone dissenting the choice was spat on and hit upon. Surprisingly, they chose the thief over the prophet and the rest is history.

I find it all too strange.

Honest, smart, funny, and a decent person.

I am getting sick of all this character assassination. He ran a great campaign, but we did too little too late. I spent September and October up in Wisconsin every weekend, but it really should have started sooner. Next time, we have to donate money faster and whoever is running has to mobilize the blue state dems to invade the red states.

He opened the door for them at the convention lovefest with his Vietnam service, then waited TWO WEEKS to respond to the Swifties. No convention attacks on Bush, then Kerry snored through the first half of the campaign pre-GOP convention with no direct attacks, frittering away his small lead, til he found himself behind in September.

Democrats everywhere had been screaming at him, "TAKE THE GLOVES OFF! TAKE THE GLOVES OFF!"

Then in September, he did a speech in which he actually said, "I am taking the gloves off." Too late, John, damage done.

I have nothing against Kerry the man, but we could have done better as far as a candidate. His past record stymied him from taking a contrasting stand on many issues.

And I worked my ass off at groundlevel to get him elected, so I am not just taking a potshot here.
