No one gave me a 2005 calendar for Christmas this year! |
|
Every year, I usually get at least ONE calendar... most times, I end up with one for the office, and 2 for home.
This year, no one gave me a calendar!
Whassup w/ dat?

I was looking through the ads the other day, and even a simple day-minder was nearly ten bucks. I mean come on, these things are produced by cents each, in some foreign land.
I just opened up my American greetings Creat-a-Card and made one. Of course, the ink probably cost me that much, but it was just the principle.
I suspect if you can wait a month, the prices will be quite low.

I absolutely have to have one for the office. I got a nice vintage poster one from www.calendars.com - but I still miss my daily Far Side calendars.

12. Probably because the selection sucked this year |
|
A bookstore in town specializes in calendars during the last half of every year, and this past season they had about the worst selection I have ever seen. Stuff that I had been buying for years (Close to Home desk calendar, for example), and a horse calendar (my teen daughter is nuts about horses) were nowhere to be found. I had a really nice National Gallery engagement calendar in 2004 -- store didn't have it in stock for 2005.
And I really hate to admit it, but this kind of put a pall over my holiday. I like going to the store and browsing through all their calendars. Well, at least I *did.*
