Here's a question for you runners out there... |
|
What brand of shoe do you use? I've been running in Mizuno Renegades and the Brooks Beast for the past several months and love them both. Can anyone recommend any other I should look at? I like the Beasts but they're so heavy, and the Mizunos just don't last as long as I would like.

They make a darn good running shoe, but suck at cross-trainers and court shoes. If you want a pure running shoe, they do well.
And no other company I've tried does as good a job with motion control - i pronate badly.

4. New Balance is the only shoe I've ever used |
|
since I started running in the 80's so I have no basis for comparison.

2. I take it you need a motion control shoe? |
|
Check out the New Balance 815 or the Asics Gel Evolution. I don't need a motion control shoe, but I've been happy with other models from these companies. Durability wise I've had good luck with New Balance.
If your a big guy, doing big miles or have an overpronation problem you're going to go through shoes pretty quickly no matter what brand you wear.

3. Yea, I'm 210 and I do between 25 - 35 miles a week... |
|
...I also under-pronate (run on the outside of my feet), so my form isn't the most effecient.
