We must concentrate on redevelopment.
Why are we responsible for that? We should give "aid" in the form of paying Bechtel, Halliburton, Lockheed and others to build infrustructure there, instead of wasting cash on transfer payments.. I would rather people gave their hard-earned dollar to help rebuild Florida's hurricane damage, or to donate to Free Republic instead.

Bush needs to suspend these employees "pending investigation"...and keep them out while he is President. They are not just using our aid money to rebuild. They're using this money to build WHAT THEY NEVER HAD. We will get JACK for credit and less in goodwill, since it's common knowledge that the U.S. 'caused' the quake and is being 'stingy' already. It is disgusting.
