I was doing a search on the website of the Local Pathetic Excuse For A Newspaper (aka the Richmond Times-Dispatch), and I stumbled across a page called "My two cents," which exactly how it sounds, seems to be a mouthpiece for whatever wingnut who figures out how to log onto a computer to get published. Anyway, I stumbled across this little gem:

"I agree with S.W. of Chesterfield about not seeing how a Christian can vote for Kerry. He claims to be a Christian, and I don't know about his heart, but the fruits of his actions supporting gay marriage and abortion go against God's will. He claims that he can separate his politics from his faith, as do a few others. But in Kerry's case, he puts his political career above his faith, and when you put anything above God, it is idolatry, which ironically is how homosexuality developed as a punishment for worshipping other gods (see Romans 1). - W.M., Richmond"

A punishment for worshipping other Gods? WTF is that? Can anyone give any background as to where this moron might have thought this up, or do you think he just pulled it out of his ass?

The question really is how can a Christian NOT have voted for Kerry. All the bible passages against homosexuality and abortion are in the OLD Testament, aside from Luke 1:15 "for he will be great in the sight of (the) Lord. He will drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the holy Spirit even from his mother's womb,"

Which begs the question.

How many people voted for Bush because the Bible says that at an indeterminate time the a fetus is filled with the Holy Spirit, and yet celebrated his election with a glass of wine or a strong drink?

Hypocrites. All of them. Anyone who voted for Bush because they think it's the 'Christian' thing to do are hypocrites.
