Boy, that takes me back!
My friends and I in high school went to see this one at the theater about a dozen times and we reacted like it was Rocky Horror. Sooo campy!

16. Creepshow II
OMG I can finally post something on DU that has some historical worth! The opening of Creepshow II was filmed in my hometown and I was covering it for the state newspaper. I made apple cobbler for the crew and went home to get an extra umbrella for the stars when it started to rain. The opening scene is of the now Reny's department store and town office building on Main St. It was all very exciting as they closed down the main street on a Saturday night and repainted one of the store fronts. The scene was actually filmed when dawn broke on the downtown. Do you want more Stephen King stories?

20. Thinner
They did a casting call for Thinner in Maine and needed a court reporter with the machine. If you didn't have the machine, you weren't a prospect. My sister-in-law, nine month pregnant, answered the call, got the job and is in the court scene in Thinner. One more Stephen King story? Yes? Do you dare? Will you be able to sleep tonight: This one is my best....Let me know if you want to hear it (Do I sound just like him)....By the way, he owned the building where my kids went to day care. And his wife spoke at the centennial of our library...I met her and had a nice conversation....
